FWIW I can still see this bug with Maverick's beta live on the laptop I previously reported. Booting without a USB mouse plugged in goes on until the desktop is fully loaded, then, as soon as I start using the touchpad the screen blanks and the machine becomes totally unresponsive. Same thing
