Public bug reported: Binary package hint: humanity-icon-theme
This is related to https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/430277 . As mac_v advised, this should be separate bug, which makes sense. Yes, having monochrome icons reduces visual noise, but the visual inconsistency it creates makes it impractical. I don't use Humanity primarily because of this. My suggested fix is to stop using monochrome icons altogether because the user is very likely to use application that doesn't have such an icon. If there's a way to make all monochrome icons appear on the right end and all colored icons appear on the left, that's going to be great. However, that may be difficult to implement.
