i was rechecking the logs and understood what was happening:
for some reason kopete did not update my facebook password that i had changed.
i tried to change it again, and still the no connection message (not a wrong
password one).
deleted my facebook account in kopete, kopete asked me twice for
done some experiments, the same problem (of non-updating the passwords) is
happening with other kopete accounts. so it's exclusively a kopete (or
kwallet?) problem.
anyway, i leave this comment here, there might be more people in my situation

I tried the normal repositories version and also the ubuntu1.1 version
but nothing works here Unable to connect without more explanations
