Seeing the very same thing. I'm on Ubuntu Gutsy x86. F-spot (v0.4.0) is basically unusable because it will crash with the Xlib error way too often. My photo-database isn't unusually large (quite the opposite). I tried F-spot 0.4.1, hoping that the problem would be fixed (built the source deb from
