Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xsane
My Hewlett Packard 5730C scanner is still not recognized in Ubuntu Karmic. I get: found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0, product=0x0701) at libusb:003:002 but $ scanimage -L No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages). I also now get USB messed up: [ 4940.192075] hub 3-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1 [ 5052.932056] usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 47 [ 5053.052057] usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 5053.276050] usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 5053.492056] usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 48 [ 5053.612060] usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 5053.840729] usb 3-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71 [ 5054.056057] usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 49 [ 5054.464039] usb 3-1: device not accepting address 49, error -71 [ 5054.576054] usb 3-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 50 [ 5054.984112] usb 3-1: device not accepting address 50, error -71 [ 5054.984143] hub 3-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 1 Kernel version: $ uname -r 2.6.31-14-generic This is on a Thinkpad R52 ** Affects: xsane (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- HP ScanJet 5730C is not recognized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/478647 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
