Now the bad result using the built-in Search & replace.
On the left side of the image is the first page : the styles have vanished
On the right side of the image is the second page : the styles are respected.
The Search & replace doesn't work before a page break so you've got only

Another help: here is a capture of the result of a good Search & replace
using the plugin: no blank line left even before a page break, the
styles are safe. I can then have many records on one page.

I've done your test and it works perfectly, as for you. This because

The bug is exactly the same in Debian Testing.
As the problem doesn't exist in Sabayon or in Parsix Linux, it is clear that it
is a deb-distributions bug.
