Public bug reported: Several of the fonts which are installed on the system are not supported by firefox 3.5. 3.0 did support URW Chancery L, which comes with Ubuntu. This is a regression.
To reproduce: 1) Open a .html file with URW Chancery L font text You see text in a generic serif font instead of Chancery. ** Affects: firefox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: ubuntu => firefox (Ubuntu) ** Description changed: - In Jaunty, Firefox (3) had no problem with URW Chancery L, which is a - rather fancy font that comes with Ubuntu. Now that I'm using Karmic, - Firefox (3.5) is pretending I don't have the font... except that I know - I do because all my other applications recognize the font as existing. - As a matter of fact, the Fast Dial extension for Firefox does recognize - the font, but Firefox is refusing to render it. In - Preferences->Content->Fonts, Chancery is not listed as a font. If this - was intentionally removed from the list by the developers, may I ask why - they did so and how I can undo whatever they did? + Several of the fonts which are installed on the system are not supported + by firefox 3.5. 3.0 did support URW Chancery L, which comes with + Ubuntu.
