Public bug reported:

Ubuntu 9.10
Gnome desktop + various basic windows such as Terminal (but NOT firefox)
Using Compaq Presario V2710CA with Laser Tracer 3D Laser Mouse (USB, Model: MSV)

This only started immediately after I installed Ubuntu 9.10 Desktop
edition

I am NOT using the mouse pad on the laptop. I have a separate USB
mouse.

When right clicking on the Desktop, or in other basic windows such as
the Terminal window, the first menu item in the ensuing pop-up is
immediately executed.

Sometimes it is executed several times. For example, push and hold
right button on desktop will immediately create "Untitled folder",
"Untitled folder 2", and "Untitled folder 3", all on top of each other.

The mouse pad on the PC works fine. And the USB mouse behaves correctly
in firefox, for instance. (Or in windows when I run windows in a
virtual machine.)
