I've noticed a whole bunch of bugs which have been moved from xorg to
checkbox. I'm wondering is 'the checkbox app should not file nonsense
bugs' always the reason.

As Timo said, this is invalid, and checkbox should never have filed the
bug. As far as I can tell, checkbox is no longer autofiling bugs.

You have a poulsbo, which isn't supported on 9.10 so the system uses
vesa instead. It doesn't support such resolutions, so the checkbox app
should not file nonsense bugs against xorg.
