Public bug reported: Binary package hint: sugar-base
sugar-session displays a white screen when you start it, because it cannot find the icons. the problem is the gnome theme does not have the sugar icons in the search path. I wrote about this in my blog and proposed a hack to fix it : http://fmtyewtk.blogspot.com/2009/12/olpc-sugar-still-br0k3n-on-ubuntu.html thanks, mike ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Tue Dec 15 19:23:10 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Netbook-Remix 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release i386 (20091028.4) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: python-sugar (not installed) ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-16.52-generic SourcePackage: sugar-base Tags: ubuntu-unr Uname: Linux 2.6.31-16-generic i686 ** Affects: sugar-base (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 ubuntu-unr -- sugar-session does not display the icons https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/497085 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
