This particular bug is indeed fixed in grub 1.98 (and therefore in
Lucid). If you are experiencing another bug with similar symptoms please
file a new bug report by running ubuntu-bug grub2 in a terminal.
Please include a detailed description of the exact symptoms you are
seeing

I see that this bug has been reported as fixed, however the bug still
seems present on Lucid with the latest stable updates. Is this fix
planned to be released in a software update any time soon?
