from Shaya. However, if the issue still exists please feel free to
reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test
against the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms
the bug is one we
backtrace resembles that for bug 509468, which has the log files. I
can't reliably trigger the bug, though, and trying to do so under Lucid
is not practical for me at this time. If Ubuntu makes reporting bugs in
a way they will accept harder than switching to another distribution,

1. Could you test the new ubuntu version (Lucid) to verify that it also happens
there? You can download alpha1 from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/10.04/
and a recent daily image from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/
actually same exact crash type. though I noticed something differemt,
guess I was wrong.
