Public bug reported: There seems to be a problem (most likely related to HAL's removal from xorg) in which Xorg detects an attached gamepad as a mouse, using one of the sticks as an absolute pointer. This makes it impossible to normally use the (real) mouse. Additionally, attempting to start X with the gamepad attached results in X segfaulting. I have attached an Xorg.0.log that I captured on my brother's computer by starting X without the pad attached, and then attaching and detaching the pad. If I should supply any other data, please let me know.
