I'm curious too. I saw a ppa for spice, and installed the client on a
maverick machine of mine. Didn't really test too much though, as the
only way to easily get a spice server going is to install fedora.
I'm more than willing to help if anyone wants to point me in the right
direction. I'm new to
What happened to this bug? Are people still working on it, or is it put
to sleep? SPICE is such a promising technology, getting it in would make
Ubuntu a much cooler (or maybe I should say hotter:)) platform for
virtualization and private clouds.

Nigel ( and Myself Mentoring/Sponsoring as needed ) is working on this
in Ubuntu and attempting to work with the person ( Liang Guo
) that Filed the ITP in Debian to make sure
as little work if any is duplicated in the effort.

This appears to be dead in the water despite its importance - passing
the buck to debian where it has languished... Is someone working this
issue or should I roll my own?
