Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: acpi

I have a Dell Inspiron 700m laptop. I have chosen to put the system to
suspend when the laptops lid is closed.

This works fine for the first time, that is the system does not suspend
when the power cod is removed. It only suspends when the laptop lid is
closed. But after resume my laptop suspends to ram every time the AC
Power cord is removed.

1.) Open Power Management (System->Prefrences->Power Management)

2.) under Actions for "When laptop lid is closed" select "Suspend".

3) Repeat step 2 for the "Running on Battery" tab.

4) apply the changes and close Power Management and close the laptops
lid

5) Once the system suspends, open the lid to resume.

6) Now the system suspends everytime the AC power cord is
removed/switched off.

This is not a critical issue....but its really annoying.

Thanks.
