Public bug reported: I use Ubuntu Karmic, my problem is that when I maximize a window of KDE application (like Krusader) and restart it, it looses window decoration; I'm then unable to restore it (even unmaximizing gives no effect); the only way to restore it is to remove a configuration file of a particular app (from .kde/share/config/APPLICATIONrc). I use compiz.
I'm talking about KDE4 apps, KDE3 ones work fine. Steps to reproduce: 1) run kfontviewer, krusader etc. 2) maximize its window 3) close the application 4) run the application again Effect: no window decoration Expected result: a usual maximized window with decoration ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Mon Dec 28 10:30:43 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) NonfreeKernelModules: wl Package: kubuntu-desktop (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-16.53-generic SourcePackage: kubuntu-meta Uname: Linux 2.6.31-16-generic x86_64 ** Affects: kubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug k3b kfontviewer krusader -- Maximized windows of KDE applications don't have window decoration when restarted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/500972 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
