I can see why you think it is (as i originally marked) no security vulnaribility, but that opens the need for an exact definition of what security issues are. Let me explain (you might have overseen it): I have to coldshut the system, means i have to drop the power and retart to get access back.

P.s.: This bug is reproducable, i ran into the same issue on an old Athlon 1200 XP Nvidia GeForce AGP system, just because i wanted to know if can happen on another system and if so it seems it is a distribution wide bug, because Athlon XP is x86 The HP (laptop i ran into it first) is dual-core
