Public bug reported: I can not change passwords in my system with passwd directly any more. If I call "passwd" as a simple user I get:
$ passwd passwd: Authentication information cannot be recovered passwd: password unchanged I can still log into the system and I can change the password by changing a string in /etc/shadow.
