Hi Olivier,
This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

I also have a Toshiba Satellite P300 with the same configuration as Oliver V
and am facing the same networking problems.
I got tired trying to find a solution and had to uninstall Karmic and run it in
a virtualbox with Vista host.
