I Seems that this bug was fixed after some updates: at now with
openoffice.org-kde 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1 and KDE 4.4 I can't reproduce it.

When I try to Save as file with dots in filename in another format, kde
dialog cuts the filename to the first dot.
For example, I open file my.file.example.odt, press Save
I have done this and see the text:
Almost finished ...
To finish authorizing the application identified as apport-collect to access
Launchpad on your behalf you should go back to the application window in which
you started the process and inform it that you have done your part of the
process.
