If you have been getting any crashes when seeking in mkv files, there is
a fix in GStreamer Good Plug-ins 0.10.26. From the release notes:

This package should soon make it's way into the Ubuntu 11.04 Natty

There is another mkv seeking fix in GStreamer Good Plug-ins 0.10.25.
From the release notes:

The mkv seeking problem should be fixed in GStreamer Good Plug-ins
0.10.24. From the release notes:
# 620358 : [matroskademux] Sorenson Squish WebM output seeking issues
# 620743 : matroskademux: refactor delta unit handling
# 619485 : matroskademux: skip buffers before a late keyframe (QoS)
This bug is an upstream one and it would be quite helpful if somebody
