Please sync gpodder 2.2-1 from unstable to universe, no ubuntu changes.
Changelog:

* Add build dependency and dependency on python-mygpoclient
* Remove recommen
changing back to confirmed, as the version in lucid's universe archive still

I'm trying to see what needs to be done to get package patched or updated in

This depends entirely on the Ubuntu MOTUs - the source of the updated
packages is available in my PPA, I myself don't have the permissions to
upload the fix to the Lucid
I'm confused.
Will this fix be released to the lucid archives?

The source packages have been uploaded to the PPA now, it's just
waiting to build:
https://launchpad.net/~thp/+archive/gpodder
If you are in a real hurry, you can grab the Karmic source package and
build it locally yourself:
dget http://khan.thpinfo.com/~thp/deb-
outgoing/mygpoclient_1.0-1~karm

Thank you for taking the time to report this crash and helping to make
Ubuntu better. This particular crash has already been reported and is a
duplicate of bug #507987, so is being marked as such. Please look at
the other bug report to see if there is any missing information that you
can provide,
Yes, Thomas, this fixes the problem :)

(Oh, and just a personal reminder for me: If my assumption is correct,
this is related to the fix in
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=591085 being applied in
released versions, and that we should now use the buildable name to
fetch the widget ID.)

No problem - I would've only built it locally without installing anyway.
However I just tested it and also the version checked out from git fails
with the same errors:

Klaus: Please don't "build" a package - simply running "bin/gpodder

Yes, it happens _every_ time on startup with both the packages from

I'll build a version via git-checkout today in the evening and report
