Title:
I am having the same problem with Adobe Reader 9.4.2, Lubuntu 11.04 and
with a HP J4580 printer. Black does not seem to be printing, Red is
weak. I have tried changing many settings in Adobe Reader but am unable
to fix the problem. Colors print fine from other applications such as
LibraOffice,
I have verified by using multiple versions of Linux (Redhat, Ubuntu,
Debian, Fedora, Centos, etc...) and multiple printers (Dell, HP, Xerox,
etc...). Printing from acroread will produce the wrong colors. The
biggest issue is that blues come out purple. If you use any other PDF
reader (ie: okular),
The bug just hit me too, after upgrading to 11.04 Natty. eVince still
prints PDFs fine, but the same PDFs printed from Acrobat (acroread)
seems to screw any text or the areas of any images that should involve
black ink. I am printing to an HP OfficeJet 7410. Using Acrobat
9.4.2-0natty-1 with hplip
I can confirm this as well with an HP OfficeJet 6500 Plus, using the
HPLIP driver package, on 11.04 (Natty). Printing the same file from
eVince produces the correct color output. Telling Acrobat to Let
printer choose colors half-fixes the problem, but there are still
incorrect colors being
I can confirm this problem Acroread with my HP Deskjet 6940, there are
massive colour transpositions.
With Document Viewer and HP 6940 things are OK.
With Acroread and an Epson Stylus D88 printing is again OK (or at any
rate vastly better).

Hi,
I confirm this issue. Printer HP OfficeJet J4580, using driver for HP
Officejet 4500 g510a-f, hpcups. When printing from acroread the colors
are incorrect. When printing the same PDF from 'Document Viewer'
everything is OK.
Acroread prints however some pictures correctly, also there are
I'm not sure if I'm have the same problem or not. I'm using a Canon
iX4000, and it isn't printing blues in pdf files.

Hi echo-e,
Please attach the pdf file and ppd file used to configure the printer with your
