Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
When importing a simple SVG file into OpenOffice-Draw, some elements are incorrectly rendered. In particular: a) open path elements are drawn as closed even though no "closepath" is specified in the SVG path data. b) text is rendered in the incorrect location. The same SVG file is rendered correctly in Firefox, Ristretto, Inkscape, etc. Steps to reproduce: 1) save the attached "simple.svg" file 2) In a new blank OpenOffice-Draw document, from the "Insert" menu choose "Picture... From File..." and select the "simple.svg" file. What's expected: A diamond shape with its south-west edge missing (i.e. an "open" path), and at its top vertex a circle containing an "X". What happens: The diamond shape is drawn with its south-west edge present (i.e. a "closed" path), and the "X" is drawn in the wrong location. The same SVG file is rendered correctly in Firefox, Ristretto, Inkscape, etc. Additional notes: Instead of "Insert -> Picture... From File...", if the SVG file is opened (e.g. via "File -> Open..." the path is correctly rendered as "open" but the "X" is still not rendered in the correct location.
