workaround:
1. Quit the Ubuntu One client
2. Open Applications-Accessories-Terminal and run:
sudo mv -r ~/.local/share/ubuntuone

btw, things are not working properly at all.
See that the files i tried to sync (kmail) all have changed filenames, with the
extension u1conflict for example 1241689258.5866.ouQOJ:2,S.u1conflict:2,S
(haven't searched for solutions yet, when i have time will look, and maybe file
a bug
latest syncdaemon.log with
[__main__]
log_level = DEBUG
in syncdaemon.conf
