Public bug reported: Binary package hint: system-config-printer
Currently, the test prints are branded with a huge Ubuntu logo at the top. This is unnecessary, and provides no additional functionality, as the end user is unlikely to do anything substantial with the test page after it has been checked. Downstream distributions that are based on Ubuntu have to deal with removing this branding, or live with the inconsistency of having their test prints read "Ubuntu." Files in question: /usr/share/system-config-printer/testpage-a4.ps /usr/share/system-config-printer/testpage-letter.ps I suggest removing the Ubuntu logos from the test prints entirely. ** Affects: system-config-printer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Test print unnecessarily uses Ubuntu specific branding https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/512140 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
