@Agent24 - can't reproduced your example. Please attach an SVG file with
such a rectangle (supposed geometric size 108x40mm, stroke width 0.1mm,
selection size 135.035x50.35mm), so that other can investigate. Did you
check that you actually used mm for the stroke width?

Yes the stroke is definitely 0.01mm
I have attached here a file where the problem happens

Your example file was not originally created in Inkscape:

Ahh, I did not know the file was not native to Inkscape.
Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the explanation.

This isn't a problem with the stroke width.
For me, there is a major discrepancy between the Rectangle and Selection
tool measurements
For example, I created a rectangle, and the size was supposed to be
108mm x 40mm with an 0.01mm stroke width.
However when selecting it with the selection
Hi Luis,
Thanks for reporting this bug. Did you know there is an updated version
of Inkscape available, which includes numerous bug fixes? Please could
you try updating to version 0.47 and letting us know if the problem
still exists?
** Also affects: inkscape
Importance: Undecided
Actually, I see what's going on... you're actually describing normal
behaviour. The size of the rectangle doesn't include the stroke, i.e.
the 100x100 px dimensions describe a rectangle **with no line around
it**. When you add a 1 px stroke, the total size of the rectangle
becomes 101x101 px.
Hi Alex.
I think changing the width of the stroke shouldn't affect the size you
give to the rectangle (or any other object). In case of increasing the
stroke width, the rectangle should mantain its original size and the
stroke should grow inwards.

Width and height don't match in Rectangle
Hi Luis,
This isn't an issue with Inkscape. It's part of the SVG specification:
The 'stroke' property paints along the outline of the given graphical element.

The Inkscape developers have made the software behave according to the
