Public bug reported: In Ubuntu there are several bugs that prevent Audigy 2/4 sound cards from being used for audio input. The card I have to test is an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro (which is identical to the Audigy 4 Pro with the exception of the DAC).
1. Input levels are way too low, even when all inputs are set to 100% in alsamixer. There is a thread on the Ubuntu forums here <http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=198626> that has screenshots that illustrate the problem nicely. 2. The input "Line In 2" does not work at all within Ubuntu. 3. The inputs are labeled incorrectly; "Line In 1/Mic In", for example, is labeled "Aux 2" in alsamixer. Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'alsa'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Audigy 2 input problems (low volume, not all inputs work) https://launchpad.net/bugs/51423 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
