Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: grub

The update manager rebooted the machine before ending the update
process. After reboot it reported that the update process was
interrupted and instructed me to run dpkg by hand, witch I did.

But dpkg insisted that the grub menu.lst was not found and only
proceeded to finish when I allowed it to generate a new menu.lst.

The machine now works, but the new kernel does not appear in the Grub
menu when it boots.
