BTW, I have an nvidia card, but I don't have the restricted drivers
installed. I saw a message on IRC that Nvidia users shouldn't expect to
suspend or hibernate.
After logging into launchpad as apport-collect requested, I got the
following crash:

This may be a duplicate of bug #488720. Are you willing to install the
proprietary drivers? If so, be mindful of the fix posted in that bug,
and please retest. If not, then this bug will be closed as Won't Fix.
