it was some error with me using synaptics save markings feature in 9.10
and using it in 10.04 to install my programms in a fresh install.I wrote
down all my apps and installed them by synaptic and prob. went away.But
i think upgrade would result a problem since packages are all ready
there.

gnome-panel
adding above to startup seems to fixed it...

Im still trying to nail it..Its random..few times killing x and login in
fixed it but some times even a reboot wont fix it.Pls guide me how to
collect more info about it..

It only happened when upgraded from 9.10 or give in fstab 9.10 /home as
the 10.04 / home.A new account didnt show the problem.
