Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop
Ideally ubuntu-desktop should have a dependency 'linux-image-386 |
linux-image-686 | linux-image-k7 | linux-image-server | linux-image-
server-bigiron'
Currently it has no such dependency.
Consequences:
I make a update which installs linux-image-2.16.25-k7 (latest in dapper). After
everything is working, I wish to remove older version of kernel,
linux-image-2.16.23-k7.
By mistake I mark both versions for removal. This also marks linux-image-k7 but
doesn't mark ubuntu-desktop for removal and doesn't present any warning.
So after applying the changes, I end up with a system with no kernel.
