I also encounter this bug.
It looks like the process running before mplex is not outputting an .m2v
file but a file without extension.
Maybe transcode's semantic has changed. It is called from dvdrip with
-o /path/to/avi/002/name-002, but mplex is called with
/path/to/avi/002/name-002.m2v as
