I'm sorry to hear Ubuntu One isn't working properly for you.
It looks like you have some problem with filesystem permissions that
prevent Ubuntu One from working normally.
Could you please provide the output of the following commands here?
ls -ld
This was the output:

Erm, sorry for the last post, I did not substitute my account name with

The correct command lines are:

Thanks, it is indeed directory permission issue. You may have started
syncdaemon as root or the folders were copied from other locations w/o
preserving original owner.
In order to fix that try running
sudo chown federico ~/.local
