I installed Lucid Lynx on my laptop an recognized that I am missing all applets
on the top and bottom panel except of Applications, Places, System,
Firefox-Icon and ?-Icon. So for example: I cannot see the clock, the opened
programs (bottom panel), the desktop-switcher and anything

The last major update seems to have fixed the problem on both my desktop
and laptop. The clock is advancing normally on both.
I have marked the bug as 'invalid', as there is no 'fixed' option to
choose from. If the bug reappears, I'll reopen the issue.

It's back again. It seems to be the clock applet that causes the
problem, but I don't know how to disable it at boot time to verify.

Xorg updates seem to have solved my problem. I have had four consecutive
reboots without missing applets or a frozen clock.

This bug has NOT gone away in -15 as I had hoped. I do not sit at the
computer all day as consequently miss notifications of tasks and
appointments as the applet is not there. Ditto for things like apport.
Would someone at least acknowledge that I have a confirmed (2 separate
computers) bug?

Here's another screenshot - the main Time applet is stuck on boot time.
I added another to show the difference.
