[Lucid] acpid.socket not ready when xserver starts
Thanks, but this change isn't needed as Xorg doesn't need to listen to
the acpid socket anyway (see bug 496859). The change will also block GDM
loading until acpid has started, which will increase the boot time for
now reason. The code which tries to connect to it is just going to be
removed from

It was easier to fix than I anticipated. Patch against the source
package attached. This can also be applied against /etc/init/gdm.conf
using:
sudo patch -p2 /etc/init/gdm.conf gdm.upstart.patch
patching file /etc/init/gdm.conf
