This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it
recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try with the
latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/ .

Simple back up alias sbackup didn't work. The program opened but refused
to back up to a portable hard drive (Lacie) nevertheles it gave an
operation number. Sbackup didn't close up and the system had to be shut
down. After rebooting crash report popped up.

I got a similar (maybe same) error. I was playing around connecting and
disconnecting the wired network (eth0) on a new laptop while running off
the Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 1 Live CD prior to installing Ubuntu.
It looks like this is only a warning and seems reasonable given that I
was playing around
