And you did remove the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf or at least removed the
lines pointing to NVidia proprietary drivers?

No I did not, test execution steps do not recomend doing that,
please take a look at what we are asked to perform regarding this TC:
1. Boot with functioning proprietary driver
2. Using the GUI software management tools, mark the proprietary driver
for removal
3.
