Public bug reported: Binary package hint: base-installer
I have a hard disk that had kubuntu breezy installed. I had several partitions, with /, /home/, /boot, swap being hda8, hda9, hda7, hda10 respectively. When I chose to delete / and reformat it, the installer showed partition numbers that were different from the output of what fdisk -l shows. To complicate matters further, on pressing 'continue' on that screen shows the partitions, whether we want to format them, and the label -- this screen shows the partition numbers that are consistent with fdisk output. I would say this is a grave bug, as users might choose incorrect partitions because of the inconsistencies in the two pages that show the partitions. ** Affects: base-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Partition numbers wrong in step 5 of graphical installer https://launchpad.net/bugs/53537 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
