In the case where the screenshot(s) float to the right of the
description, I think we'd want the top of the first screenshot to line
up with the top of the description (as in the second mockup).
However, none of that would make any difference for items that don't
have screenshots.

Software
This layout is by design. Perhaps we can get Dom to look at it some time
and flow the image to the right instead of below if there is a wide
window. Meanwhile, I would not categorise it as a bug.

I understand it is by design. But both mpt and I think it looks weird.
It looks bland and uninteresting because it is so empty.
For reference look at how iTunes 7 does it:

I would say it looks rather nice considering the similarities

I like gridx4 and x2.
If the App view has the horizontal space it should add extra screenshots
to the right of the text. If the pane starts to lose horizontal space
(the user resizes the window or expands the sidebar) it should start
losing the right most screenshots before the horizontal bar
