Still happens with daily-alternate 20060912.1 (can't test knot-3 because

I can confirm that the bug is still there for Knot3-i386.
Sebastian, you don't need to actually burn the ISO on a CD, you can
(what I just did) just run it in a virtual machine like VMware for
example.
I am changing the bug title too, since it obviously doens't apply to
Knot1 only anymore...

I can confirm exactly the same thing for the Knot-2 and current daily-
live alternate i386 CD.

Yup, the bug is still there. I installed Knot2-alternate-i386 the other
day, and again the CD self test fails on the very first file, yet the
system installs and works just fine.
