Hello,
After a few weeks of testing I have found
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v2.6.34-rc7-lucid/ ?
to be much better and hardly had any problems with my WLAN.
-Thanks
P.S. The new kernel seems to break ureadahead which is a minor

Hello Fumihito
Again thank you very much for your help.
I have just installed: Mainline 2.6.24-rc7 from the given link.
A first test has shown a stable transfer rate of 3.2 MB/s which is ok.
I also noticed almost no transfer delays. With the old kernel the
transfer would get stuck sometimes
Hello
The new kernel does not seem to work perfectly. Currently, I am down

not work at all (except for discovery/scanning).
There were error messages regarding the firmware.

Sorry, to bother you again. I seemed to have missed something!?
With echo options iwlagn swcrypto=1 /etc/modprobe.d/options
I get 3.7 MB/s currently.
Without the fix, only 100-200 kb/s.
Now, I also get the original error message (without fix):
