Actually we were lucky yesterday and found that the boot failure was due
to a typo in /etc/interfaces that one of the guys made. It turned out
that the ureadahead error is harmless and has nothing to do with the

Just try my luck just now. Using system rescue cd to update the system,
upgraded new kernel linux-image-2.6.32-17-generic-pae ... after restart,
it still hangs.
My other system, IBM x346 works fine, except i can no longer see my
console anymore; message is Video Mode not Support.
