gstreamer0.8- packages have nothing to do with gstreamer0.10 which is the version that totem is using, and gst-launch-0.10 is a gstreamer0.10 command, are you sure it's due to it? Does removing that package lead to the issue again? -- Wav files won't play out-of-the-box on Dapper PPC

I spoke hastily. I am not sure at all. I need an easy way to play voicemail from firefox. totem still runs and fails but the wav file plays simultaneously. i used to install mplayer but that is like using a hammer to adjust a wristwatch and checking do this automatically from now on doesn't
