Shoot. My apologies Vassilis, I did this without even realizing you
already had a diff. Anyway, it has been uploaded. Please keep an eye
on it and close as fix released.
I also pinged upstream to see if they will include the desktop file in
the original source. Thank you.

Yup, specimen doesn't show up on the desktop. As well, specimen doesn't
even appear to work without jackd, even though it doesn't require jackd,
merely recommending it.
