I got the error after closing the writer and then unmounting a flash
drive.I had previously accessed a document on the flash drive then saved
it to the internal hard drive.

agree with mikeyphi who writes This bug has been visible for some time:
if OO writer is opened and closed, after a reboot, this bug is always
visible but doesn't show again - until a reboot.

I selected the menu item digital signatures.It then said I have to
save the document (which was blank) to continue but I selected
cancel.Then I made a quick test document, selected Save As which
seemed to work but the crash occurred just a bit later.First the screen
went darker which probably
I just saved a document in Calc, closed it, and got the same error. So
it doesn't just affect Writer.

This is the second occurrence that I have had with OOO typically when I
am exiting the word processing program. It doesn't seem to be occurring
with the other parts of OOO. Behaviour noticed is that this will occur
after I save a document and exit the program.
