The current themes for firefox doesn't have this problem anymore.

ok! this might be a little help...at least for the moment. I did dpkg -i
--auto-deconfigure /var/cache/apt/archives/firefox_1.99+2.0b1+dfsg-
1ubuntu2_i386.deb and that seemed to help.

well I got a mesage too, but now with the second release of firefox beta1 I get
a dpkg error saying: installing firefox would break firefox-themes-ubuntu, and
deconfiguration is not permitted (--auto-deconfigure might help)
then I try to uninstall firefox-themes-ubuntu, but firefox depends on
Confirming... I got an error message after the Firefox update informing
me of this.
