Public bug reported: I've been running Dapper on my iBook G3 900 640MB quite a while now, and it runs so hot compared to OSX. The fans come on quite a lot and also the battery life is much shorter ( 2/3 to 1/2 the time compared to OSX ) . I also tried Xubuntu to see if this was less resource intensive, but the same thing happens. As my graphics card blew out due to Apple's video bug a couple of months back, I'm a bit scared now with the iBook being so hot and switched back to OSX:-( I WANT Ubuntu back... I haven't got a clue how this could be fixed... something with the power management I think.... But really hope this will be fixed so I can run Ubuntu again... If I need to supply more info please tell me so!
