Sense Hofstede: This bug is not a duplicate of bug #439448. The issue only
occurs when I run Quassel, literally within a minute of starting it up to test
this issue. When I don not run Quassel I never have any problem. Also both
fixes shown for bug #439448 (killall gnome-panel and changing the

Me too! I'm using Lucid RC 64bits and I experienced two problems:
- icon for shutdown disappears / scrambled with IM icon.
- network manager icon disappears.

This does not happen when KNotify is not running. KNotify is started when I use
Quassel als IRC client.
What should happen to this bugreport now, I still think its a problem, only not
an indicator-application issue

I see similar behaviour. In my case, mostly the icon for shutdown/log
out disappears. I see similar warnings in the indicator-applet.log like
the one posted by Redmar (mosty about ayama and some gtk-widget.

Does this issue also happen if KNotify isn't running? KNotify implements
the same specification as Indicator Application, there could be some
friction there.
