Binary package hint: lvm2

My lucid laptop with root-on-lvm-on-luks has recently started oopsing at
boot, with

VFS: Cannot open root device "mapper/lithe_ssd_root" or unknown-
block(0,0)

(see screenshot).

This was working correctly in 2.6.32-17; I'm not totally sure if the
difference is in the kernel or in other things that are built into the
initramfs.

I think Ubuntu used to drop into an initramfs shell in this case but
that's not happening anymore, so it's hard to make any progress other
than by booting an old kernel or a recovery disk.
